Stratford Motel

Basic motel with basic amenities that doesn’t pretend to be more than it is. Clean rooms and quiet. They could do with a mirror in the main area and a countertop in the bathroom.

Great location and convenient for when your on a road trip. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, bathrooms could use a update but will do the job.

Stayed here for the start and finish of our canoe the Yukon adventure. First time we needed up with two queens so a spacious room which was great for sorting out all our kit. Rooms are large, have microwave, coffee maker and microwave and air conditioning (it can get roasting in summer and it was roasting whilst we were there!). There is a shower over the bath and en-suite. Decor etc is dated but the rooms, bedding, towels are clean and the staff a lovely and friendly. Central for the short walk to the river side walks the downtown area or walk out to the larger retail shop area of town. It cost about $20-25 dollars to get to and from the airport to the motel. (2024).

Great service, got a ground floor room as requested. Staff friendly and accommodating when we weren't quite ready to leave at check out. They also found my shoes that I left behind by accident and set them aside labeled with my name and the date of stay. Water was nice and hot for shower/bath. Room is as expected, say 3.5; definitely dated but pretty clean and one of cheapest options downtown by far. Unfortunately smoke/weed from neighboring patron seeped in under the door often.

Its cozy and simple,but you would still think that this is THE perfect motel to be,but the television is a bit bad.But thanks for letting us stay here

Room was simple, but fairly clean and the bed wasn't bad. The in-room A/C unit didn't work very well at all which was unfortunate in summer; a quieter fan would have been better than what I had.

The room is comfortable, but because of the age of the place, there aren't many sockets to plug things in and charge them. The bathroom is old, but does the job. The water gets hot quickly and the shower is clean. The bed is also comfortable. The individual at check in was courteous, friendly, and helpful. The loss of a star is for the sounds from above. I was on the first floor and could hear. Every. Step. They. Took. Above. Me. Seriously, the place is not well soundproofed. But there was no noise from outside.

It's a decent motel with clean rooms that have coffee maker, microwave and a fridge. I found it to be better than most of the motels I stayed at before. The location is good, and the staff were helpful. My only complaint was the hot water. It was HOT!
